Thank you for sharing this, Pablo. I always think that having a bilingual brain did make me acquire a unique way to think and to know more about a new culture. Now I know more about how knowing more than one language keeps my brain healthy and evergetic.

Beyond the typical advantages of creating additional synaptic connections with the learning of an increased volume of words and ways to express ourselves, there is fascinating research that shows that bilingual speakers have more resilient brains. This goes byond expanded language. As young as 8 months of age, bi-lingual and tri-lingual learners show an improved ability with regards to conflict resolution.
